Parents and family members who are authorized are welcome and encouraged to visit Cathedral School of Saint Mary. To make these visits most meaningful, you are asked to plan your visit at a time that is mutually convenient to you and the teacher. When you arrive at school, please go directly to the school office to sign-in and pick-up a visitor's badge. To minimize interruptions in the instructional day, it is requested that a prior contact be made with the classroom teacher when a visitaiton is desired. This is a courtesy to the class and will help the visitor better fulfill the purpose of the visit.
A visitation does not infer a conference. Should a conference be desired, an appointment should be made for a different time. While a visitor is in a classroom, the teacher's first priority is the children in that class.
The safety and security of children is a primary concern of Cathedral School of Saint Mary. To make our school as safe and secure as it can be, we have designed certain measures to provide building security. All gates and exterior doors will remain locked during school hours and may be opened with a security code number. Visitors to the school should enter the school through the San Jacinto gate and go directly to the school office where you will sign-in and obtain a visitor's badge. While on school grounds, please do not feel offended if a staff member asks who you are or why you are in school. They are just looking out for the safety of all our students.
