The Basics
- 2 packs of No. 2 pencils (optional mechanical pencils with Medium Lead)
- A separate eraser
- 2 packs of ballpoint pens (black or blue and a few red ink ones)
- 2 marbled composition notebooks (Language Arts, Science Fair)
- 4 (200 sheet) packs of loose-leaf, wide-spaced notebook paper (2pk for Homeroom)
- A 12 inch ruler with English and metric measurements
- A water bottle (to re-hydrate after PE, etc.)
- A sturdy, supportive backpack (preferably a rolling one)
- One combination lock
- 2 containers of hand sanitizer
- 2 boxes of Kleenex
- 1 container of Clorox wipes
- 2 rolls of paper towels
- 1 pack of glue sticks and 1 container of liquid glue
- 1 pair of scissors
- 1 pack of scotch tape
- 1 pack Expo, Low Odor, Chisel Point, Dry Erase Markers with Eraser (4 Colors)
- 1 pack of multi-colored construction paper
- 1 pack of colored pencils
- 1 pack of water-based markers
- A protractor and compass package
- Three-ring binder - 2 to 3 inches thick, preferably with zipper cover and internal pockets
- binder dividers (plastic with tabs and pockets)
- a pencil case that fits in a binder
- 1 pack of standard weight sheet protectors (10-25 max)
- 2 packs of 3x5 index cards (1 pack for homeroom)
- 2-4 Highlighters
- A calculator (Casio fx-300MS or fx-300ES or similar for around $12-$18)
- A USB data storage drive (minimum 500Mg bytes)
