Art Compeition
What: Catholic Charities of Central Texas along with the Diocesan Fin Arts Council is holding an art competition in celebration of the Catholic Charities USA Centennial Celebration. Catholic Charities of Central Texas works to strengthen individuals, families and communities through direct services, community collaboration and social justice advocacy.
Objective: In honor of the Catholic Charities USA Centennial Celebration, studens are invited to submit original artwork depicting or interpreting the meaning of hope and the mission of Catholic Charities of Central Texas. The Diocesan Fin Arts Council has volunteered to judge the work of the student artists. Winners for each age catagory will be announced at the Catholic Charities open house on September 22, 2010 from 4-6pm.
Details: All art entries are due in the Catholic Charities office by September 7th, 2010. Art will be judged:
- PreK - 3rd grade
-4th - 8th grade
The selected art pieces will be hung with professional artists at the Pastoral Center for 6 months. The other art pieces will remain hung in the Catholic Charities of Central Texas main office located at 1817 E. 6th St. Austin, Texas 78702
For each piece of art that is submitted, the following information must be included on the back of each piece of art:
Name of student, name of contact, school, address, phone number, and email.
